At Excel Primary School, we believe that digital literacy is an essential skill for success in today’s world. We are committed to equipping our learners with practical technology skills that prepare them for further education and future opportunities.
Our computer classes begin in Class 5 and are tailored for learners aged 9 to 15 years. Lessons are conducted weekly and cover computer fundamentals, the Microsoft Office package, internet usage and online safety. Learners also gain practical experience in using digital devices and creating designs.
By the time they complete the programme in Class 7, learners are equipped with essential digital skills. They can confidently operate a personal computer, smartphone or tablet, type and format documents, perform basic functions in Microsoft Excel, browse the internet safely and create digital designs.
Through this programme, we aim to build confident and responsible digital users who can use technology creatively, safely and effectively in their everyday lives and future learning.
